Barry Allen is The Flash, the fastest man alive. Using his super-speed powers, he taps into the Speed Force and becomes a costumed crime-fighter. His position is a legacy in the Flash Family, successor to the original Jay Garrick and predecessor to Wally West. He is a founding member of the Justice League of America. Barry grew up reading the adventures of his favorite superhero, Jay Garrick, the original Flash, and acted many of his hero's adventures out with his friend and future actress, Dean. When he was a child, his mother was killed and his father was convicted of the crime. The drive to prove his father was innocent gave Barry a strong belief in justice. That night during an electrical storm, Barry returned to an experiment after a short break. All of a sudden, a bolt of lightning streaked through a window, shattered a chemical cabinet and covered Barry in the electrified chemicals. Dazed, he decided to return home in a taxi. However, the taxi started to pull away without noticing him. Barry sprinted after it, only to run straight past it as if it had been standing still. He decided to sit down and recollect his thoughts at a diner. A passing waitress accidentally spilled the items of her tray onto Barry, who amazingly caught them all in mid-air and returns them to the tray. The next day, Barry saved Iris from a stray bullet. There was no question about it: the freak accident had somehow given Barry superhuman speed.

Flash technically grew up without his parents. He was bullied at a young age. And was not really social. He grew up to be a forensic scientist and a police investigator. Everyone he worked with thought he was weird. But being around these people help him to choose the good side when he was given his super powers. He became a guardian angel for his city. To protect the people of his community and help fight crime. He join the Justice League of America to help defend other society as well as his own.
Chapter 6-Deviance Criminal Justice System:(.pg 172) A collection of social institutions, such as legislatures, police, courts, and prisons, that create and enforce laws.
The Flash is a good example of Criminal Justice System because he patrol the city and keep it safe. And he doesn't only fight crime. He helps the citizens. Flash uses his power to put villains and criminals in prison. He try to make sure that the law is being enforce. He does whatever he can to keep the people happy and his city safe.
Chapter 8-Race and Ethnicity as Lived Experience Passing:(.pg 225) Presenting Yourself as a member of a difference racial or ethnic group than the one you were born into.
He fits into passing because he had to maintain a new identity which benefits him then him being just a human. Flash was born a human. Now his able to do extraordinary things then humans. That makes him able to to meet other people or super heroes like him and super villains.
Chapter 10-The Macro-Micro Link in Social Institutions Power Elite:(.pg 285) A relatively small group of people in the top ranks of economic, political, and military institutions who make many of important decisions in American society.
Flash is a part of that group because he became a leader and a protector for his country. He has a say so in what should be done in the economic. He can do things without the peoples consent. Even though it can effect the population for better or worst.
Chapter 5-Separate and Together: Life in Groups Group:(.pg 127) A collection of people who share some attribute, identify with each other, and interact with each other.
There's a lot of flash which put them in one group. They share the same powers together. Their identity might be different but they play the same role. All of the flash gain their powers almost the same way.
